I read somewhere that the reason some people don't listen to classical music is because they're intimidated, and I suppose the same could be said for opera.
Really?
Can't you just like something because you like the way it sounds?
You don't need to be an expert on the form or the major players/composers/singers.
Heck, you don't even to have to understand the language.
You just have to like how it sounds, or how it makes you feel.
Or that it makes you feel anything at all.
It's not that hard, people.
Maybe it's not that they're intimidated.
Maybe they just haven't found the right tune.
